On September 30, 2023, the Bachelor of Secondary Education of Core Gateway College, Inc. held a Brigada Eskwela under the “Gabay Akbay mga Gurong Hawak Kamay” project at Delaen Elementary School.
The instructors and students of BSED helped with the repair and cleanup of classrooms. They also provided cleaning materials and school materials given to the teachers and grade 1 students of Delaen Elementary School.
If it is recalled, on May 20, 2023, the BSED department also conducted an outreach program that provided a macro skills enrichment session to 64 learners at Delaen Elementary School who needed additional educational assistance. Together with the recent Brigada Eskwela conducted, these are all part of the school's extension program to offer community welfare services to various communities here in San Jose City.
The said project will run for three years and is expected to happen at the start of the first semester and the end of the second semester. The task at the start of the first semester will fall under the sub-program of participation in Brigada Eskwela, and every second semester will fall under the sub-program of and Outreach Program.
The primary purpose of this whole three-year project is to provide a much more sustainable plan to ensure its long-term viability and success. Also, this program aims to expose student volunteers at BSED to community welfare services.

On May 20, 2023, the Bachelor of Secondary Education of Core Gateway College, Inc. held an outreach program under the "Gabay Akbay mga Gurong Hawak" project at Delaen Elementary School. The BSED faculty and students from English, Mathematics, and Social Studies Major provided a macro skills enrichment session to 64 learners of Delaen Elementary School who needed additional educational assistance. The BSED Department also handed snacks and hygiene kits and provided Instructional Materials for the Delaen Elementary School's Learning Resource Center (LRC) using all the IMs in the Outreach Program.
The "Gabay Akbay mga Gurong Hawak" project is a product of the school's extension program to offer community welfare services to various communities here in San Jose City.
